General Glossary

The following are general terms, keywords, notations, and other commonly used items within the TMMData infrastructure.

This Glossary is being updated on an ongoing basis, and is a continuous work in progress.

The area at the top of the screen that shows logical path to what is being worked on.

Business Process (bps, bp)

Business Processes (also noted as bps, or bp) are action driven items that allow modifications to data, tables, and also communicate to users about that data and tables.  Fuctions such as Data Cleanup, De-Duplication, If Condition Then Action, Data Deletion, Data Truncate, and Notifications are all available.  In addition to the built in items noted, there is also the availability of full Custom SQL and Custom PHP capabilities.

Business Process Group (bpsg,bpg)

Business Process Groups (also noted as bpsg, or bpg) are 1 ore more Business Processes created in a linear order to be executed as required by the system.

Chart Configuration

Chart Configuration is the process of generating 1 or more charts via the Configuror tool in Grid View.

Charts

Charts are created via the Configuror tool in Grid View.

Conditional Formatting

Conditional Formatting is the process of formatting text, numbers, fields, etc differently based upon created conditional options.  This allows nearly any "Formatting" visually to columns/rows of data as needed for cues to action to be completed.

Connections

Connections are the final saved component of running a Connection Wizard through its entirety.

Connector

Connectors are the code created to allow TMMData to communicate with other Databases, Systems, and Tools.

CSS

Cascading Style Sheets are used for formatting certain areas in the system.  Specifically, Custom Form Themes, and Custom Fields.

Client

Client is the owner of 1 or more Customer Implementations.

Customer

Customer is a single implementation of TMMData for a Client.

Custom SQL

Custom SQL is a function of Developer Mode of Business Processes.  It allows a Development to generate any valid MySQL coding to be run including functions, procedures, and declared variables for advanced SQL Coding. 

Custom Split

Custom split is the split parameter used by the export API.  The split parameter is | by default.  If your columns contain | in them then this will have to be set to another Unique Character that is not in your columns.  Example of other characters to use: !,@,^,*

Custom PHP

Custom PHP  is a function of Developer Mode of Business Processes.  It allows a Development to generate any valid PHP coding to be run including functions, procedures, and declared variables for nearly any secondary integration or work to be done. 

Dashboard Element

Dashboard Elements are the individual items within a dashboard that can be resized, edited, added, and removed by individual users.

Dashboards

Dashboards are the collection of 1 or more Dashboard Elements placed together.

Data Export

The process of exporting data from TMMData, this can be accomplished via Grid View and/or the Restful API generated from Grid view.

De-duplication

Very specialized Business Process to allow for a DeDuplication Process to run.
