How do I Export a File to desktop?

There are two ways in expot a file from grid view.

1. Exporting a file to desktop using the Toolbar...

1.1. Click Export on the Toolbar.

Click the Tools Menu.

1.2. Fill out the first page and hit Next.

Name your export , select which view will be exported (none for entire table), and select File for your delivery type.
  1. Table - Which table this export is drawing from.
  2. Export - What export you are running or if it is a new export.
  3. Name - Name of the export.
  4. View - What view will be used for the export.
  5. Delivery - Which delivery method will be used for the export. (Connection, Email, File, Web)
  6. File Type - Which file type will this export use.
  7. File Name - What do you want the file name to be.

1.3. Select your Delivery Advanced settings.

Under the Delivery options, choose if you want any Compression, Encryption, and what you wish the File to be named.

File Compression - What compression you wish to use, if any.

PGP/GPG Encryption - Choose if you wish to have PGP/GPG encryption. If you do what is your Public Key and what type of signature you wish to have.

1.4. Select your Advanced options.

Under the Advanced options, enter if you would like a Header, Footer,if you would like to Limit the export to specific records, and if you want to define a custom split.

Header - Allows you to set a Header of the file.

Footer - Allows you to set a Footer of the file.

Limit - Allows you to limit the amount of records you recieve in the file.

Custom Split - Allows you to set a custom character(s) to represent splits.

Custom Line Ending - Allows you to set a custom character(s) to represent line breaks.

Custom File Extension - Allows you to set a custom file extension. (Note: This does not chnage the type of file)

Records per File - Allows you to set how many records per file will be exported. This is used for 'chunking' large tables into much smaller files.

Dropdown Display{Value} - Allows you to set wether your key value pairs get exported as thier Display value or the actual DB Value.

1.5. Select if you would like to share this export with anyone.

1.6. Click Save to save the export or Run to export immediately.
